Cards, Cards, Cards.....

That's what I need is cards!  This past week, I went over to my neighbor to make some cards.  She is a Stampin Up consultant and invited a few friends over to make some cards.  I hadn't made cards in years and since my stamp club broke up a couple of years ago, I hadn't been able to get myself to make cards.   From all the swaps we use to do each month I had a stock pile of cards.  Well, that stock pile is in desperate need of replenishing.

Thanks Nancy for inviting me over to play.  I enjoyed making cards again.  It reminded me of what I missed and that I have a closet full of stamps that need some lovin....

We played with Chalk and VersaMark and was so excited to be able to get the watercolor effect.  Especially since I have been painting lots of watercolor lately in my art journals.

Love, Love, Love the sunflower!!!
Stamped with VersaMark and colored with Chalk.  Easy Peasy!!!

Used Chalk and VersaMark on this card too.

Have you made any cards lately?
Well what are you waiting for, go get your stamps and join me.

Ticker Tape Quilt Progress

Can I say I am having so much fun putting together these rainbow blocks.  The colors are just over the top gorgeous!!  This week I finished up two blocks.  I loved being on spring break and having the time of my life hanging out in my studio while everyone else is at work.... Oh Yea what a feeling!!!!

Well, I was never totally alone, because I had my trusted pup sleeping by my side.

I had to put a blanket down, because if not, he would be on my lap and it's not easy to quilt with him on my lap.  He is turning into a little chunker and needs to go on a diet.

Here is my two finished block for the week.

Orange

Candy Pink
Or I like to think as Bubbleishous!!! (not sure if that how you spell it but oh well)

Uhmmm, what color should I dip into next?

Happy Quilting you all!

My Rainbow Ticker Tape Progress

Finally finished up my second rainbow block and can I tell you this project is so much fun.  It's so easy and the bright colors just makes me so happy.  I choose Canary this week.  I love the heart shape mixed in with all the square and rectangle shapes.  The heart added a little more interest.  Decided that all blocks going forward I was going to try and incorporate a different shape of some sort to add some more interest.

Like?
Already started on my next color, so give me a few days and I'll be back to show you another completed block.

Happy quilting,

What's on the menu?

Work up late this morning or at least that's how it felt, when I had to move the clock ahead one hour.  Sure hate this time of the year on that weekend.  Makes for a long day.   However, love when I get home from work that it still light out.  Gives me the chance to go out for a nice walk after dinner with hubs.

Ok, enough of my rambling about the time change bet you are wondering what's on the menu this week.  Well here's the low down.

It's another repeat week requested by the Hubs and I wanted to make it easy so I can sneak away into my studio to get a little creative with paints and I did. Check back tomorrow and I show you some creative goodness!

So here's what on the menu.....

Monday - Baked Shrimp in Tomato and Feta Sauce by SimpleRecipes.

Tuesday - Lasagna

Wednesday - Taco Soup from For the Love of Cooking Blog.

Thursday - Grilled Mediterranean chicken breast from For the love of cooking blog.
