School break is over and kids are heading back on schedule, so that includes me. With all the holiday parties and dinners, I am glad for the break on one hand and excited to get back on a routine again on the other. I hate when I didn't know what I am going to have for dinner every night. Made me not want to cook, because I had nothing planned.
So Sunday bright and early, I planned my menu, headed to the grocery store and market and spent my afternoon preparing this weeks meals.
Here's what's cooking.....
Monday - Chicken Parmesan
Tuesday - Taco Soup from For the Love of Cooking Blog.
Wednesday - Grilled Chicken with Mustard Tarragon Sauce (Repeat from Week 10) along with a new recipe Roasted Green Bean Parmesan from For the Love of Cooking blog.
For 2012 and I am taking some on-line classes to improve on my ability to create art freely. I struggle with allowing myself to just create and not worry to much about what the final piece should look like. I have been trying all sorts of art medium's and platforms and never realized how I would fall in love with all the colors.
I am already addicted to color and patterns, first in paper for scrapbooking, then in fabric for quilting, but now it's crayons, markers, paints, pastels for my art journals.
This weeks assignment opened up me up to allowing myself to doodle with color. So here is a glimpse into my journey of Doodling Unleashed.
The class is being offered by Strathmore On-line Workshops for Free! Traci Bautista is teaching the workshop. Go over there and sign-up, I am sure it's not to late to join in the fun! You too could get addicted to color!
Did you notice my new side bar button? For 2012, I am making a committment to "Move more and Eat Well". I joined Big Picture Scrapbooking class being offered by Cathy Zielske that will run all year long. I looking forward to her monthly lessons and motivation in hopes to keep myself focused on my intentions.
Our Pre-class assigned was to Journal our intentions and start our scrapbook. I am going to do my scrapbook digitial, and then keep a Food and Exercise journal that I can carry around with me.
Here's a peak at my Pre-class assignment and the start of January's assignments.
Did you notice the red ribbon over my shoes? I learned about this ribbon on the Dr Oz show this morning. He gave 5 tips to getting rid of belly fat. The 5th tip was to make a belly band at the length of 32 inches. This is the ideal waist size to have a healthly belly. I loved this idea, as it will give me something to shoot for since my mid section has gotten out of control and I would really love to see some curves once again.
I'll share where my Belly band reaches in my next January Assignment once I complete. It will be a great way to measure my progress, as my belly reduces in size, my red band will begin to close the gap!!!!!
