Had my Cake and Lost it 2......

Yeap you read that right! I lost 2 pounds this week and have know clue how but I am not complaining. I did nothing this past week but eat Birthday cake, and only exercised 3 days. Even my meals where the the ones you get in the frozen food section in a bag. This past week was just one crazy week and dealing with demands at work as well as a boy getting ready to turn 18. You now what that means, the agurements start and the I am an adult and you can't tell me this and that start. I have been dreading these days, when he starts throwing the 18 adult card at us. Well it's started and can't wait till these years are past. It's not going to be fun. Already told him, if you don't like it then find another place to live, because house rules enforced when living under my roof!

This week I am starting it off right, with meals prepared and exercise planned. Can't wait to get under the 160 mark!

Current Weight: 160

Vacation over and Back on Track

Fresh, relaxed and back to work after a week vacation. I am so ready to start eating home cooked meals again. I don't know how anyone can eat out every day. We get so tired of the same restuarants and food available when on vacation. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the occasional break from the kitchen but not every day of the week. I enjoy cooking and eating but knowing how it is prepared and fresh makes it so much more enjoyable. Plus I am not tempted by the portion sizes.

We did find a restuarant in Hershey PA that was amazing and the best food we ate all week. In fact, we loved it so much, we ate there every day while in Hershey for lunch and dinner. Tried everything we possibly could on the menu and pleased with every dish. Oh and dessert, OMG! The BEST!! If you are ever in Hershey, PA you have to stop at the Hershey Pantry for a meal. You won't be disappointed!!!!! I will be trying to recreate a couple of Panini sandwhiches we had. One in particular, Roast beef, Cranberry, Brie, and granny apple slices. OMG!! Delicious!!!!!

Oh and lets not forget about the Chocolate in Hershey, PA. Everywhere you went Chocolate kisses in a bowl for your tastin.

As for our stop in Philli, the kids got their fill of Summer School with a History lession and it's so nice to see them ask questions and get to experience some of what they learn in school. It's makes it more real to them then just black and white text in a textbook. And top of the list of things to do was to try a Real Philli Cheese Steak sandwich, which we did. We stopped at Sonny's on Market Street and everyone loved it. However, me the sauce lover that I am, just needed some Steak sauce of something to top it off. No steaksauce, so ketchup it was! I know I ruined it, as the kids and owner made faces, but I enjoyed it so to me that's all that counts!

So starting today, I am officially back on track with my Sister weightloss challenge and happy to report after 2 weeks of vacation, I only gained 1 pound. Measurements will have to weight till next week.

Current Weight: 162

PS. Lil Sis, there was no excuse for you taking time off for my vacation! So get your self back in gear and kick but!!

Feeling Great......

Week 3 and I have been going strong and feeling amazing! Was worried about the 4th weekend and being able to stick to my guns. The chips and dips didn't temp me, because I brought along some carrot sticks and made my Northern White bean hummus for that crunch and dip. Turns out my hummus was a success and ended up being finished off over all the other salsa dips. I am happy to report, I did great and very proud of myself for staying focused and not giving in to temptation. Planning ahead and sticking with it was paid off! Down 1 1/8 this week. As for inches, not much change except for my Arms, a little over an inch made me thrilled.

Another crazy weekend.....

My husband believes he has a black cloud over his head and lately. I am beginning to think he may be right. Our attempt to get away for a relaxing 4th turned out to be a day that tested our patience and ability to just keep going when life's obstacles get in the way.
You see we left around noon, to drive to Orlando with our boat. About 30 minutes into the trip, the tire blew on the boat trailer. We changed the flat with the spare and got off the highway looking for a tire store. We wanted to get another spar just in case the other tire blew on our journey. About 2 hours later, no one had the tire size we needed in stock. So we decided to drive back home and drop the boat off and head back north to Orlando. Just as we unpack the boat and pack the car, the sky opens up dropping buckets on us. We pile into the car drenched! We are sitting at the red light just outside our development (Drying off), when WHAM!!!!! we are rear ended by a very large RAM truck.

I was afraid to look because when I turned around to see what had hit us and saw that big blue truck I thought my car was not going to luck pretty. Thank god we were not in a small car and my TOYOTA 4 Runner is one tough car! Just some bumper damage and that RAM Truck got the worst of it!

We were beginning to think that maybe a weekend away was not suppose to be! Even the officer at the scene told us that these were signs to stay home. Well the kids were ready and wanted to go, so we took off from the scene to Orlando and arrived 6 hours later. What was suppose to be a 2 1/2 hour drive ended up taking us 6 hours to get there.

So despite our afternoon disasters we had a great time with family and made it home safely!!! Back to work tomorrow and wishing for brighter sky's ahead!

Happy 4th of July America!!!!

Well the weekend is finally here and we are looking forward to spending the weekend with family, fun, and fireworks! We are so ready for a break after the mess on Fathers day with my freaked out Washing machine. I can't figure out what it's problem was on Fathers day, because she is working just fine since that miserable day. My poor husband, not one of his best fathers days!

Finished up my 4th of July mini quilt just in time for the 4th, to bad I won't be home for the weekend to enjoy! I love it!!!!! Don't you?
Wishing all a save and fun filled 4th of July!!!!
