Wednesday

Never thougth I could get out of bed this morning when that alarm went off. Boy was I tired. Well after hitting the snooze 3 times, the little voice in my head convinced me to get out of bed and head to the Gym. Thanks little voice for pushing me and getting me to the gym. Billy was waiting for me to kick some butt, once again. I love the feeling I get after a work out and my day is usually so productive because I am energized. So why is it that I don't do this everyday? Guess that little voice, the one that makes me go to the gym sleeps in some days, doesn't want me to go to often.

Since I was so energized today, I just about finished up my sisters Xmas mini quilt, then I even took some time to work on some digital pages from our sisters weekend.

MONDAY

Monday's are usually one of the toughest days of the week. So I am happy to say today was a wonderful productive day. It started at 5am when I work for the gym. Granted I was tired and thought about skipping, but I chose to listen to the little voice that wanted me to go. So off I went. I decided to not walk/run on the treadmill but spice it up abit, by doing Tabo with Billy. Boy he kicks but, and speaking of butt, mine will be sore tomorrow I am sure. As the say goes, No pain, No Gain! So bring it on Billy...

Next one of my 1st emails of the day was about Hot Chocolate as it relates to life. Thanks DAD for sending out to your girls. Well, Hot Chocolate happens to be my favorite pleasure drink at this time of the year (well at least when we have a cool morning). It brings back many fond memories for me. When I sip my cup, I think about when I was a little girl in France and my Memere making us a big cup of chocolate, with a fresh Chocolate Crossant. Ah do I miss those days!

Yesterday, I said I was going to start my Christmas projects and I am happy to say, Christmas project #1 completed. The top was completed last year and sitting around waiting for me to quilt. So it was a fast and easy one to get done and get my self kick started once again. Next on to the mini's I got in GA. Will be making 4 to share with my sisters and mother.
Time to go cuddle up with hubby and watch a little TV, before I drift off to sleep after a productive day! Good night.

My First Pin Cushion

Well after a day of working in the yard, pulling weeds and planting new plants with my husband, I managed to sneak in my craft room and get just one more FALL project done. Isn't it so cute! I just love Moda fabric from Fig Tree Quilts. The colors are so subdued and just yummy looking. Makes me want to just snuggle up with it.
OK, I think it's time to start working on some Xmas projects. It is going to be hard to stop looking at FALL fabric because this is my favorite time of the year and it just draws me in everywhere I go!

Annual Sisters Weekend

With time and distance between us, this year we started an Annual Sisters weekend. Our journey began last night from West Palm Beach and Orlando to Atlanta to visit our little sister in Georgia. Today we woke early for a 2 hour drive in the mountains to a quilt festival, we were inspired by the quilts and Gerri even decided to give it a try and bought fabric to make her 1st quilt. Nathalie - she said, "if requires ironing, I AM OUT!!!". Well, It took me over 10 years to get her to Scrapbook, so maybe on our 10th annual sisters weekend, she will start quilting.

After the quilt festival, we ventured for photo ops at an old barn.

Then onto an apple orchard where we jumped for joy (Literally). SORRY - Due to the graphic nature and gravity, some photos will not be posted.

After, we then entered the Pumpkin patch and had cheddar popcorn and hot apple cider. But wait, the day wasn't over yet, there still was shopping to do. Nathalie took us to a new store she discovered that was like our old favorite in Pembroke Pines. CASEY WAS LUCKY!!!!

Stay Tuned for Day 2's adventure.

21 Day Challenge Final Day

Croptoberfest 2009 was a blast! My girls finally after years of trying finally one most the prizes and the best win, was the Black and White Little Black Dress Dinner hosted by me. They have been putting all their tickets in for this prize for the last 4 years and Lisa finally had the winning ticket. It didn't take them long to set the date, so now I have to come up with a menu for their special dinner crop.

After a days cropping, I had to finish up my final FALL quilt, so DRUM ROLL.... for my unvailing below....

After 21 days of keeping up with my projects, I am happy to say that I have completed all my FALL projects for this year. Guess, I should start working on the next Holiday. For Christmas, I have 3 items that I would like to complete. But 1st, I am taking a few days away to spend with my sisters in GA. I have lots to do to get ready, and a busy week of activities with the kids. See ya all later...

Still Going Strong

I have completed yet another quilt and here it is. Only 1 more to finish up before the FALL season is over. In addition to working nightly on my quilts, I have managed to get ready for Croptoberfest 2009 this coming Saturday.

I got a new cookbook, that I guy from work recommended to me called "Artiansan Bread in Five". It is a book that walks you through making homemade bread without a breadmaker and having to knead, and knead. Made the dough Wednesday night, refrigerated and tonight for dinner, I baked it. The aroma in the house was like walking into a bakery. That is until, I burned the Black Beans, while I was trying to multi-task on Croptoberfest preparations. I still have enough dough for dinner the next three nights. This could be dangerous, that is FRESH BAKED BREAD nightly! I can't wait for the weather to get a little cooler, I see mini sourdough bread bowls, with homemade stew inside. Sorry Panera's, I don't need you any more!

Day 11

October 1st and the morning was just a little bit cooler. It was just a tease of the FALL air. I want more! Decided to get some more digital pages done today, after I was inspired once again by the CM Digi group on Facebook.
